ASTM E709-08은 자기에 작용하는 철에 대판 표면 결함 검사를 위한 시험인 자분 검사 시험(MT)에 대한 코드입니다. 현장에서는 MT라고 간단하게 부르는 비파괴시험입니다.

 

 

 

 

1. 범위 (Scope)

이 코드는 전기가 통하는 철 금속 재료의 표면에 있는 불연속이나 크랙들을 탐지하기 위한 비파괴검사인 습식과 건식의 자기자분검사(MT)에 대해 다룹니다.

 

자기자분검사는 원재료나, 중간 단계의 재료들(빌렛,블룸, 캐스팅, 포징)이나 완제품, 그리고 용접부에 적용합니다. 이는 열처리 전이나 후에 상관없이 적용됩니다. 또한  MT는 유지보수검사에도 탁월한 시험 방법 중의 하나입니다.
